NYC Steakhouse Hit With Wage Suit For 'Blatantly Stealing'

By Joyce Hanson (April 28, 2017, 1:27 PM EDT) -- An iconic Manhattan steakhouse on Thursday got slapped in New York federal court with a proposed wage and overtime class action that accuses the restaurant of "blatantly stealing wages" from its wait staff.

Gallaghers Steakhouse, its parent company and owner Dean Poll were all hit with the suit, brought under the Fair Labor Standards Act and New York Labor Law by former server Christian Beauchamp, who worked at the restaurant from August through November 2015 and alleged that employees did not receive minimum wage or overtime pay.
