Law360, Los Angeles (May 23, 2017, 9:46 PM EDT) -- SpaceX fired an avionics technician for raising concerns that the ambitious startup was cutting corners and pushing workers to falsify rocket-part safety tests, the man’s attorney told a California jury during opening statements in a retaliation trial on Tuesday, while SpaceX countered that his conduct frightened coworkers.
Jason Blasdell worked as a SpaceX technician from November 2010 until April 2014, testing avionics components of the Falcon 9 rocket, and received positive performance reviews, according to his suit.
