U. Of Tulsa, NCAA Hit With Concussion Class Action

Law360, New York (June 9, 2017, 2:41 PM EDT) -- Former football players for the University of Tulsa hit the school, Conference USA and the NCAA with a proposed class action Thursday in Texas federal court, accusing the trio of letting them suffer repeated traumatic head injuries without proper medical care despite understanding the serious long-term repercussions.

The suit, brought by former University of Tulsa linebacker and safety Donald Gobert, accuses the school, conference and association of letting players suffer hundreds of head injuries a year, despite knowing the disastrous effect they can have on the players’ health, in order to protect the profitable college football industry.
