Shareholder Dismisses Suit Over $190M Aerospace Co. Deal

Law360, New York (June 13, 2017, 6:11 PM EDT) -- An LMI Aerospace Inc. shareholder voluntarily dismissed a proposed class action against the company’s board of directors on Tuesday, ending a suit in Missouri federal court over the lead-up to a $190 million merger agreement with Sonaca SA.

The dismissal would close out a securities suit brought in March by investor Madjid Benchabane alleging LMI misled shareholders by filing a proxy statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission that omitted information about the fairness of Belgian aerospace company Sonaca’s proposed $14-a-share takeover.
