9th Circ. OKs MLB Appeal In Minor Leaguer Wage Action

Law360, New York (June 14, 2017, 4:44 PM EDT) -- The Ninth Circuit on Tuesday granted a bid by Major League Baseball to immediately appeal a California federal judge’s ruling letting Minor League Baseball players proceed as a class in their wage and overtime suit against the league.

This ruling comes after U.S. Chief Magistrate Judge Joseph C. Spero in May halted the minor leaguers’ case while the major league appeals the class certification ruling.
