New Complaint Revives Magnesite Price-Fixing Case

Law360 (March 31, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Three months after their proposed antitrust class action was thrown out for lack of subject matter jurisdiction, two U.S. companies have filed an amended complaint accusing a group of China-based magnesite exporters of conspiring to fix the mineral's price.

The amended class action, brought by Texas-based Animal Science Products Inc. and Pennsylvania-based Resco Products Inc. on Monday in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, seeks no damages or relief with respect to products sold outside the U.S.
