Neurontin Class Action V. Pfizer Dismissed

Law360 (April 3, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has dismissed a consolidated class action accusing Pfizer Inc. of a scheme to use patent litigation to delay generic competition for the epilepsy drug Neurontin, after the end-payor plaintiffs voluntarily dropped their claims against the pharmaceutical giant.

Judge Faith S. Hochberg tossed a total of 17 cases on Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, where litigation against Pfizer and its Warner-Lambert Co. subsidiary has been pending since 2002.
