Title Insurers To Give 3,500 Colo. Customers Refunds

Law360, New York (April 3, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Colorado's insurance regulator has ordered Chicago Title Insurance Co., Fidelity National Title Insurance Co. and some of their agents to refund more than $393,000 to 3,500 customers after allegedly overcharging title insurance rates.

Colorado's commissioner of insurance, Marcy Morrison, announced Thursday that the insurers and their agents had agreed to the refunds, including more than $266,000 from CTI, an additional $115,000 from CTI's agents and approximately $12,500 from Fidelity's agents.
