Execs Can Be Subpoenaed In $31M Award Row, Judge Rules

Law360, New York (August 18, 2017, 3:27 PM EDT) -- A Virginia federal judge on Friday granted a request from a security contractor to issue subpoenas for two executives of a United Arab Emirates-based food supplier for the U.S. Department of Defense, whose testimony could show whether the court has jurisdiction to enforce a $31 million arbitral award.

Nachmanoff granted the request from UAE-based CTR Ltd., or Compass, to subpoena two executives of the parent company of fellow UAE-based company Supreme Risk Management FZE.
