JPMorgan Escapes ATM Fee Antitrust Battle

Law360, New York (April 7, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Two months after plaintiffs in a putative antitrust class action over ATM fees abandoned naked price-fixing allegations, a federal judge has signed off on the stipulated dismissal of JPMorgan Chase & Co. while a slew of other banks have asked the court to drop the plaintiffs' latest complaint over charges in First Data Corp.'s network.

Judge Charles R. Breyer of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California on Friday approved the stipulated dismissal of JPMorgan Chase Bank NA without prejudice.
