Judge Mulls Vioxx Attys' Challenge To Fee Cap

Law360 (April 8, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge is considering a move by five attorneys who helped secure a $4.82 billion settlement in the Vioxx products liability case to lift the cap on attorneys' fees, currently set at 32 percent.

After a hearing on Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, Judge Eldon E. Fallon took under submission a motion filed by the attorneys, known as the Vioxx Litigation Consortium.
