EPA Names 9 Sites To Superfund Priorities List

Law360, New York (April 9, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has named nine new hazardous waste sites to its National Priorities List of Superfund sites, including one linked to an active U.S. Army chemical and biological weapons disposal site in Maryland.

Along with the nine new entries to the priorities list, the EPA also proposed adding an additional 13 sites throughout the United States to the list, the agency said Wednesday. Several of the sites on that list date back to mining activities in the 19th and early 20th centuries....
