WARN Act Suit V. Heller Ehrman Sent To ADR

Law360, New York (April 15, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The federal judge overseeing a putative WARN Act class action that accuses bankrupt Heller Ehrman LLP of failing to pay wages and benefits to workers terminated in mass layoffs in late 2008 has agreed to send the case to early neutral evaluation.

Judge Claudia Wilken of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California on Tuesday granted the parties' joint stipulation selecting early neutral evaluation, a form of alternative dispute resolution in which a court-appointed neutral expert evaluates the merits of the case....
