Ja Rule Says Fyre Fest Founder Hijacked His Artistic Vision

Law360, New York (October 17, 2017, 2:21 PM EDT) -- Billy McFarland, the beleaguered Fyre Fest impresario who faces fraud charges and class action suits over the failed Bahamas music fest, was accused Tuesday in Manhattan federal court by counsel for Ja Rule of ripping off the rapper's vision.

The new allegation against the 25-year-old McFarland came before U.S. District Judge P. Kevin Castel, who is overseeing two civil actions targeting McFarland and Ja Rule, the 41-year-old hip-hop artist whose given name is Jeffrey Atkins.
