Lord Black Pleads Not Guilty To New Charges

Law360, New York (September 8, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Troubled media tycoon Conrad Black on Friday pled not guilty in U.S. federal court to another pile of charges related to federal investigations into his alleged misappropriations of his former newspaper empire.

The third revised federal indictment in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois claims that Black and his associates caused the underreporting of Hollinger’s corporate income by about $13 million in 1999 and $16 million in 2000.
