Toyota To Build Hydrogen, Electricity Plant Run On Bio-Waste

Law360, New York (November 30, 2017, 7:57 PM EST) -- Toyota Motor North America Inc. unveiled plans on Thursday to build what it called a first-of-its-kind plant in California that will rely on agricultural bio-waste to generate hydrogen, electricity and water.

The Tri-Gen facility, which is currently expected to become active in 2020, will support Toyota’s operations at the Port of Long Beach and make its facility there its first in North America to use entirely renewable power, according to a news release.
