Insurer Sues For $11.7M After NY Country Club Fire

Law360, New York (December 8, 2017, 2:33 PM EST) -- The insurer of a New York country club that caught fire in 2014 is seeking $11.7 million from the companies that it claims caused the fire, according to a suit filed Thursday in New York state court.

The Ardsley Country Club Inc. submitted an $11.7 million claim to Granite State Insurance Co. for property damages and loss of business stemming from a 2014 fire, but the insurer argues companies including a contractor and alarm specialist that purportedly caused the fire should cover the costs instead....
