Federal Insurance, Port Authority Settle WTC Fight

Law360, New York (May 5, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In one of a slew of liability cases arising from the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, Federal Insurance Co. and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey have agreed to settle a long-running dispute over insurance coverage for the destruction of the World Trade Center.

Judge Barbara Jones approved the settlement and dismissed with prejudice claims and counterclaims between the insurer and the Port Authority on Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
