$6.3M Verdict Reinstated In Botched Plastic Surgery Suit

Law360 (June 5, 2020, 10:42 PM EDT) -- A California appellate panel has reinstated a $6.3 million jury verdict in a suit accusing a plastic surgeon of botching a woman's neck and face procedure, saying a lower court's post-trial determination that the suit was untimely was erroneous.

In a partially published opinion, a three-judge Court of Appeal panel on Thursday unanimously reversed the dismissal of a suit accusing Dr. Timothy Marten of negligently performing a face and neck lift on the unnamed plaintiff, referred to in court papers as Jane Doe, which caused undesirable results.
