By Cara Salvatore (August 20, 2015, 8:37 PM EDT) -- A lawyer who wrongly told a near-lifelong U.S. resident that he was eligible for a visa provided ineffective counsel, the Ninth Circuit ruled Thursday, sharply rebuking the Board of Immigration Appeals for finding nothing wrong with lawyering that sent the man to Mexico and trapped him there away from his family of U.S. citizens....
