Chicago Attorney Avoids Lifetime Penny-Stock Ban
An Illinois federal magistrate judge refused Wednesday to permanently ban a Chicago attorney the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission said was connected to an international boiler room scheme from participating in any penny stock offerings, writing the agency hadn't shown his conduct warrants such an "extraordinary remedy."
