Union Carbide Evades Bhopal Chemical Exposure Suit

Law360, New York (June 27, 2012, 2:23 PM EDT) -- A New York federal judge on Tuesday tossed a putative class action brought by residents of Bhopal, India, against Union Carbide Corp. over its role in the release of hazardous wastes, ruling the plaintiffs could not prove the company should be held accountable for its Indian subsidiary's actions.
