HSBC Can't Kick Overdraft Fee Class Action

Law360, Los Angeles (June 29, 2012, 8:43 PM EDT) -- A New York judge on Tuesday largely preserved a class action accusing HSBC Bank USA NA of deceptive business practices over the bank’s debit card overdraft fee practices, saying the plaintiffs’ state law claims aren’t preempted by federal regulation of national banks.
