Buccaneers Hit With Another TCPA Suit Over Fax Blasts

Law360, Miami (November 22, 2013, 8:12 PM EST) -- The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were recently hit in Florida federal court with a putative class action for allegedly sending fax blasts in bulk in an effort to market tickets to football games, just weeks after getting a similar case dismissed.

As in the previous suit, which was originally filed in state court and then removed to federal court by the team, the plaintiff alleges in a Nov. 18 complaint that starting in 2009, Buccaneers LP, which operates the National Football League team, faxed out unsolicited advertisements for tickets to home games.
