Hausfeld, Others Make Pitches To Lead Airline Antitrust MDL
By Vin Gurrieri (January 12, 2016, 3:22 PM EST) -- A slew of law firms including Hausfeld LLP and Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP separately asked a D.C. federal court Monday to appoint them to lead multidistrict litigation accusing American, Delta, United and Southwest airlines of fixing the prices of domestic airline tickets.
The firms' motions Monday come about three months after the U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation consolidated 23 antitrust suits in U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly's court accusing Southwest Airlines Co., Delta Air Lines Inc., United Airlines Inc. and American Airlines Inc. of fixing the prices of domestic flights.
