Citigroup Asks 2nd Circ. To End 7 WTC Legal Fees Suit

Law360, New York (June 27, 2012, 5:59 PM EDT) -- Citigroup Inc. told the Second Circuit Wednesday that it is not at all legally responsible for the Sept. 11 collapse of 7 World Trade Center, asking the appeals court to toss a suit over legal fees brought by the building's owner.

The bank, 7 WTC's primary tenant, told a three-judge panel that faulty design by the owner, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, is more likely than anything the bank did to have led to collapse of the skyscraper the afternoon of Sept....
