Texas High Court Nixes New Trial In $42M Attys’ Fee Row

Law360, Houston (June 16, 2017, 2:08 PM EDT) -- The Texas Supreme Court on Friday sided with the owner of a water supply company who argued a trial court wrongly stripped away a jury verdict in his favor and awarded his former attorneys a new trial in a contingency fee dispute in which the lawyers argued they were entitled to $42 million in damages.
