Class Says Delta, AirTran Colluded On Baggage Fee

Law360, New York (May 27, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Airline passengers have filed a putative class action alleging that Delta Air Lines Inc. colluded with AirTran Airways Inc. by agreeing to start charging at the same time $15 for the first piece of checked baggage.

Plaintiffs Brent Avery and David Watson, who both paid checked baggage fees on Delta and AirTran, filed the complaint on Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
