21st Century Fox Wins Key Approval In Britain For Sky Deal

Law360 (July 12, 2018, 2:37 PM EDT) -- New York-based 21st Century Fox secured a key regulatory approval in the U.K. for its pursuit of the portion of Sky it does not already own on Thursday, the day after it traded competing buyout offers for the British telecom giant with Comcast.

British Secretary for the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Jeremy Wright announced that 21st Century Fox can move forward with its offer, which values Sky PLC's share capital at £24.5 billion ($32.3 billion).
