Metaswitch Says Rival Telecom Co. Tried To Kill Competition
Law360 (November 20, 2018, 5:12 PM EST) -- Metaswitch Networks Ltd., a telecommunications company, filed an antitrust complaint in New York federal court Tuesday alleging that another telecom intended to eliminate competition among companies that transform landline phone networks through serial acquisitions and exclusionary tactics.
Ribbon Communications Inc. and two of its subsidiaries have eliminated most of the companies that it had competed against to switch landline telephone networks to enable them to use modern voice over internet protocol technology, Metaswitch, a UK-based company that also operates in the U.S., said in its complaint.
