Fiat Investors Win Cert. In Emissions-Fraud Losses Suit

Law360 (June 18, 2018, 6:26 PM EDT) -- A New York federal judge on Friday certified a class of Fiat Chrysler investors in a stock-drop suit alleging the automaker lied about using emissions-cheating devices in vehicles in an effort to inflate the company's stock price.

In a brief ruling issued Friday, U.S. District Judge Jesse Furman also appointed plaintiffs Gary Koopmann, Timothy Kidd and Victor Pirnik as representatives of the class, and appointed Pomerantz LLP and The Rosen Law Firm PA as co-lead class counsel.
