Split 9th Circ. Orders Arbitration In Vonage 911 Fee Row

Law360, Los Angeles (February 29, 2016, 11:08 PM EST) -- A divided Ninth Circuit panel on Monday ordered arbitration of a putative class action accusing Vonage of improperly charging customers a “County 911 Fee” not required by the government, saying the Federal Arbitration Act preempted the customers’ claims that a service agreement with an arbitration clause was unenforceable.
