NHL Used Expert Reports To Skirt Word Limits, Players Say

Law360 (March 9, 2018, 9:13 PM EST) -- Hockey players accusing the National Hockey League in multidistrict litigation of hiding the effects of concussions on Thursday urged a Minnesota federal judge to strike 11 expert reports filed by the league Wednesday in a larger expert testimony dispute, calling the move an attempt to dodge word limitations.

The players contend that the reports, attached to NHL declarations related to motions to exclude the testimony of four of the players’ experts, violate court rules and orders. As such, the players said the reports should be stricken....
