TFI, Delivery Drivers Ink $4.75M Deal In Misclassification Suit

Law360 (October 29, 2018, 7:07 PM EDT) -- Logistics company TFI International Inc. has agreed to pay $4.75 million to end a suit alleging it stiffed hundreds of couriers on overtime and mileage reimbursement by misclassifying them as independent contractors, according to a settlement motion filed Friday in California federal court.

Named plaintiffs Phillip Flores and Darah Doung urged U.S. District Judge Jon Tigar to approve the deal, which they say provides a fair payout to the 367-member class of delivery drivers in the suit.
