Software Ex-CEO Entitled To $5.4M And Tesla, Ga. Court Rules

By Rosie Manins (October 14, 2021, 7:43 PM EDT) -- The founder and former CEO of a software company is entitled to $5.4 million in employment incentive payments and a Tesla of his choosing under his employment contract, the Georgia Court of Appeals held Thursday.

Affirming a trial court judgment for Siddhartha Mookerji, the appeals court said the plain language of his 2015 employment contract entitles the former head of Software Paradigms International Group LLC to claim the cash and car from SPI Holdco LLC, the entity that bought Software Paradigms. SPI Holdco is majority owned by private equity investor Tower Arch Capital.
