AIG Says Plane Leasing Unit's Ex-CEO Swiped Trade Secrets

By Lana Birbrair (April 24, 2012, 10:36 PM EDT) -- American International Group Inc. on Tuesday accused the former CEO of its International Lease Finance Corp. subsidiary of stealing trade secrets when he left to start his own company after failing to buy out the aircraft leasing unit.

AIG and ILFC, which leases commercial planes from companies such as The Boeing Co. and Airbus SAS to airlines, accuse Steve Udvar-Hazy, his startup company Air Lease Corp. and several former ILFC executives who left for the new company of stealing thousands of confidential files to later be used as the blueprints for customer communications, contracts, pricing, marketing and other business strategies....
