Climate Tort Litigation: An Early Scorecard

Law360 (July 24, 2018, 8:34 PM EDT) -- States, cities and counties across the U.S. have launched a wave of suits seeking to hold fossil fuel companies accountable for climate change-related infrastructure damage. The results so far: two dismissals and one suit remanded from federal to state court, with the latest decision coming July 19 when a federal judge nixed New York City's suit against Big Oil.
