WilmerHale Reps BJ's In $2.8B Sale To Leonard Green, CVC

Law360, New York (June 29, 2011, 1:39 PM EDT) -- BJ's Wholesale Club Inc. announced Wednesday that it would be bought by Leonard Green & Partners LP affiliates and a group of funds advised by CVC Capital Partners for $2.8 billion in cash.

The deal, in which shareholders of Westborough, Mass.-based BJ's will get $51.25 per share in cash for each share of common stock they hold, represents a 38 percent premium over the closing price of BJ's shares on June 30 — the day before LGP announced its 9.5 percent ownership stake in the company...
