NY's New Playboy Club Dragged Into Hotel Operations Suit

Law360 (February 7, 2019, 9:42 PM EST) -- A minority co-owner of New York's recently opened Playboy Club and adjacent Cachet Boutique Hotel on Wednesday slapped the venture's majority owner with a breach of contract suit, accusing it of failing to meet its obligations under an operating agreement and of defaulting on a $30 million loan.

Dominion Cachet 42 LLC claimed in its state court suit that just two years ago it inked a couple of limited liability company agreements called MHI Cachet Capital LLC with an affiliate of majority owner Merchants Hospitality Inc., also the owner of several other Manhattan bars and restaurants.
