Holiday Cruise Line Blasted With TCPA Class Action

Law360, New York (February 6, 2015, 1:45 PM EST) -- A California resident filed a class action complaint against Consolidated World Travel Inc in federal court on Friday, alleging that the company, also known as Holiday Cruise Line, texted his phone with advertisements in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

According to plaintiff Scott Wiederhold, the company sent him 15 messages starting in December. The messages claimed that Wiederhold has prizes to claim, despite his never having any kind of relationship with the company. After he called the company to investigate, it sent him emails to solicit his business.
