2 Recent FCC Actions Target Business Communications

In the first, the FCC begins a review of how modern enterprise communications systems handle 911 calls from office buildings, hotels and campuses. Based on this review, the FCC may adopt new federal 911 rules for what it is calling enterprise communications systems, or ECS, an area that today is subject to state oversight. The second proposes significant changes in how businesses obtain toll-free numbers....
