VW Escapes Illinois' $1B Suit Over Emissions Scandal

In a 32-page ruling, Cook County Circuit Court Judge Kathleen M. Pantle dismissed with prejudice two claims of unauthorized impairment of vehicle air pollution control systems in violation of the Illinois Environmental Protection Act.
