White House Targets Rivals In New Plan For Critical Tech

Law360 (October 15, 2020, 12:14 PM EDT) -- The Trump administration on Thursday committed to boosting technological research while tackling perceived threats from rival nations, in a new national strategy aimed at managing emerging technologies deemed critical to national security.

The strategy, intended to target rivals' perceived unfair practices, will combine aspects of individual agency plans and governmentwide plans for technologies such as artificial intelligence, space advancements and others that are considered critical to national security and economic prosperity, senior administration officials said during a press call.
