FanDuel, DraftKings Get Gaming Patent Claims Nixed At PTAB

Law360, Boston (December 11, 2018, 8:08 PM EST) -- Daily fantasy sports giants FanDuel Inc. and DraftKings Inc. scored a win with the U.S. Patent Trial and Appeal Board after a panel ruled Monday that all of the challenged claims of an Interactive Games LLC patent for a gaming system were invalid as obvious.

In a final decision, the PTAB said the two DFS companies had shown the five separate claims of the patent were ineligible for patent protection.
