Palm Families' Licensing Suit Moves Closer To Trial

Law360, New York (February 23, 2016, 6:06 PM EST) -- A New York judge has dismissed three causes of action from the licensing fight between the families that founded the iconic Palm restaurants, and a trial date will likely be set within weeks, the plaintiffs' lawyers said Tuesday.

Judge Jeffrey Oing on Feb. 16 granted motions for summary judgment on three causes of action and denied motions to dismiss two others, clearing the dispute to go to trial. A date will most likely be set at a meeting with the judge on March 23, according to a spokesperson for plaintiffs' lawyers Hoguet Newman Regal & Kenney.
