Texas Judge Pleads Not Guilty In Cash-For-Rulings Case

Law360 (March 6, 2018, 9:48 PM EST) -- A suspended South Texas judge indicted for allegedly accepting bribes in return for favorable rulings has pled not guilty to three counts of bribery.

Rodolfo “Rudy” Delgado, a state judge with the 93rd District Court in Hidalgo County, Texas, waived his right Monday to appear personally for arraignment in Texas federal court, and instead pled not guilty via a signed document.

In the indictment, handed up Feb. 28, Delgado, 64, is accused of accepting two $260 bribes in June and December 2016 from a local lawyer...
