FCC Denies Comcast's Bid For Stay Of Tennis Channel Ruling

Law360, New York (August 9, 2012, 10:38 PM EDT) -- The Federal Communications Commission on Thursday mostly denied Comcast Cable Communications LLC's request for a stay of the implementation of a ruling forcing Comcast to carry the Tennis Channel on the same package as its affiliated sports networks.

Although the FCC granted a limited stay as to certain cable systems, the commission largely denied Comcast's request to delay the ruling based on the FCC's finding that Comcast unfairly put the independently owned channel in a more expensive sports package while offering channels owned by Comcast on a basic cable package, finding that Comcast would be unlikely to prevail on the merits...
