Orrick Fears $137M Bratz Award Will Vanish

Law360, Los Angeles (February 27, 2013, 12:05 AM EST) -- Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP and several insurers on Tuesday asked a California federal judge to make sure they got their cuts of a $137 million attorneys' fee award for defense work they did on behalf of MGA Entertainment Inc. in its long-running copyright dispute with Mattel Inc. over Bratz dolls, citing a “serious fear” the money could vanish.
