'Girls Gone Wild' Founder's Libel Suit Against Wynn Tossed

Law360, New York (July 8, 2015, 10:13 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge dismissed a libel case Wednesday against casino mogul Steve Wynn because the plaintiff, "Girls Gone Wild" founder Joe Francis, has failed to appear in court and comply with a court order.

Wynn asked U.S. District Judge Dale Fischer in April to dismiss the case — initiated over the collection of a multimillion-dollar gambling debt — because  Francis has not participated in the suit and does not have an attorney.
