WWE Ends Spat With Mobile App Tech Patent Holder

Law360, New York (July 15, 2015, 3:34 PM EDT) -- A Texas federal judge on Wednesday dismissed Orostream LLC’s patent infringement suit against World Wrestling Entertainment Inc. over the WWE’s mobile app after the companies agreed to drop their battle over the validity of Orostream’s data-transfer patent.

U.S. District Judge Rodney Gilstrap signed off on an order granting a stipulated motion for dismissal that Orostream and WWE had filed with the court on Tuesday in which the companies agreed to drop their claims and counterclaims.
